Your first day care visit requires an advance appointment for a temperament test to ensure your dog plays well with other dogs. For both Overnight stays and Day Care, your dog is required to have a completed application, up-to-date rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella (kennel cough) immunizations, a negative fecal test within 30 days of the first visit and a PA dog license issued by the county where you live. For details, refer to the Rules and Regulations.
Yes. You should always make a reservation for Overnight stays so that Fuzzy Paws can confirm availability. Please plan ahead as we fill up quickly, especially during holiday weeks and summer vacation months.
Before coming the first time, you must make an appointment for your dog to have a temperament test. You must complete the application and provide the required veterinary records, unless you have already done so for an Overnight stay. Once your dog is temperament tested and registered for Day Care, you can bring your dog without a reservation.
Please leave a message and someone will call you back within 48 hours, most times much sooner. When we are caring for dogs or in the exercise yards, it is sometimes difficult to answer phones and take reservations or address questions. But we do return all calls.
Tours of the Fuzzy Paws facility are available by appointment. Please call 724-746-3899 to reserve a time.
Fuzzy Paws is closed for drop-off and pick-up on New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Yes. In fact, you must bring your dog’s own food, as we do not provide it. It’s best for your dog’s digestive system if he or she is eating the food their system is used to digesting. Food can be purchased at Fuzzy Paw’s Pet Boutique, but it is best to use the food your dog is familiar with.
We will temperament test your dog once he or she arrives for boarding and place your pet in an appropriate play area.
No, we will provide a bed and blanket, as it reduces the risk of bringing in any germs, fleas or ticks. Our beds are stripped at least once a day and all blankets and other bedding are washed.
We have a full back-up generator to keep your pet comfortable, safe and secure in the event of a power outage.
